  Ooops

Due to circumstances beyond our control... in other words, we screwed up... the film geeks blog was accidentally deleted.

We've tried to recover it and had no luck. We did recover a small portion of the content thanks to the cache at Google (thanks for the tip, MCF), but the blog as it once was is gone.

Dead.

Deceased.

It is pushing up the daises.

It is an ex-blog.

We'll restore what we can and begin again, I suppose.

So welcome to the birth of film geeks 2.0.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that, but glad you see you guys back.

Hey, if a few more of us delete and recreate, we can form a team of X-blogs dedicated to protecting a blogosphere that hates and fears us! :)

I scouted around for other search engines that cache but had no luck. I tried the Wayback Machine, but the only pages it had archived seemed to be from a predecessor with the same name as your blog:

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://filmgeeks.blogspot.com

http://web.archive.org/web/20010930174359/http://filmgeeks.blogspot.com/

I'm just glad I don't have to edit my blogroll. Welcome back!

Quick... check Yahoo! Most of your stuff is cached there... Just do a search for http://filmgeeks.blogspot.com/ and you'll find a ton of your pages, all with fully cached content. I reccomend saving all of those pages while they still exist, and then you can decide whether or not you want to repost your old content later.

I was wondering where your blog had gone, by the way... It's good to see you're back! Good luck grabbing your old posts from the search engines caches and I look forward to seeing some new content as well... It's funny that Yahoo does such a better job of crawling and saving cache pages for Blogspots when it's Google that owns Blogger, and Yahoo is Google's competition... but Google has been terrible about this lately, giving many blogs (especially newer blogspots, it seems) secondary status and not returning full search results or doing full crawls of good blogs.
